How to open a bank account in Barcelona?

Many of our clients need help with opening a bank account when they arrive to Barcelona, since it’s necessary for installing the internet, paying the rent,bills, etc.  It is not always easy for a foreigner to open a bank account, since many banks need recommendations for new clients and have complicated procedures.

 

 

 

This is what you need:

  • passport
  • proof of living in Spain: address registration (empadronamiento), rental contract
  • NIE number certificate
  • a symbolic amount of money to put to the account (50-100 euros)

At the same time, you can order the bank card, and within 3-5 working days you come back to the bank and collect it.
